Join Us On Sunday
We warmly welcome you to join us for worship on Sundays! Whether you have been a Christian for many years or are just starting out; whether you are looking for a church or just visiting the area; we invite you to join our times of worship and fellowship at any of our Sunday gatherings. We are a grateful gathering of believers committed to glorifying the God of all grace who saved us through His Son Jesus Christ.
What To Expect
Who We Are
History: Founded in 1975, Immanuel Chapel is a Reformed and Presbyterian congregation and a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church denomination (www.opc.org) since 2009.
Grace: We are sinners saved by grace (Eph 2:8). We preach the good news that sinners like us cannot be saved by good works, but by faith alone. God has, through Jesus Christ, done all that is needed to pay for our sins through His death on the cross.
Growth: We are committed to growing in grace (2 Peter 3:18). As such we encourage believers to become active members of the church, participate in teaching and fellowship opportunities, get to know one another, and share their faith with others.
Scripture: We believe the Bible is God’s Word (2 Tim 3:16), and therefore seek to cultivate lives that demonstrate that we belong to the Lord, gladly living in obedience to His will. We believe that submitting ourselves to Scripture is not only the best way to please the Lord but leads to the most blessed life for us (Psalm 1).
Beliefs: What we believe, preach and teach is summarized well in what are known as the Westminster Standards, which includes the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.
Mission: Our mission at Immanuel Chapel is to be a God-glorifying expression of all that the body of Christ is meant to be, both in the community of Upton and the surrounding towns. Specifically, we are committed to sound doctrine, discipling believers toward spiritual growth and maturity, and sharing our faith with this community. We will, by God’s grace, accomplish this mission through a variety of means, including faithful preaching, teaching, fellowship, and the sacrificial giving of ourselves to the Lord and each other.
